Once again it is that time of the year to put away bathing suits and golf clubs and dig out our long underwear and curling equipment. As the Day Ladies President, I would like to extend a warm welcome to any new curlers planning to join the Day Ladies League each Monday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. I am also looking forward to seeing everyone else that has curled with us in the previous years. Hope that everyone can come to the curling club on registration night Friday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. and to the Day Ladies Opening Luncheon being held on Thursday, October 20th at 12:30 p.m. Our first scheduled day to play for the Monday league is Monday, October 24th and for the Thursday League will be Thursday, October 27th. We are always looking for volunteers to help out with bonspiels, decorating the club, and baking, and there will be sign-up sheets on registration night. Come and join us for curling, friendship, some laughs, and have a little exercise at the same time. If you know of anyone that you think might like to join and needs a little nudge, invite them to come out. You'll find it helps make the winter fly by.
